INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
GRAPHIC DESIGN SUMMER INTERN
Description: Conceptualize, design, revise, and deliver graphic, web, and print-based assets as well as take photographs for Truth to Table. Support the Director of Media and Communications (DMC) and work alongside other team members to advance the goals and initiatives of the organization.
*This is an unpaid internship, and we’re looking for about 20hrs/week.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to & implement the aesthetic/visual brand of Truth to Table and Havilah Cunnington
- Develop and design all graphics for social media
- Develop and design graphic assets for various Truth to Table projects and media needs
- Submit weekly progress report/task summary to DMC.
- Deliver on-time assets to affiliates often in multiple formats for social the web.
- All working and approved files/photographs will be clearly organized and accessible through proper file naming and file arrangement.
- Ensure that assets maintain Truth to Table brand standards and are in line with organization’s core values.
- Introduce innovative ideas that will bring maturity to project planning, execution, and project management.
- Stay current with design and creative trends.
Qualifications:
- This person should have an instinctive feeling about future concepts.
- High proficiency working with leading design, editing and photography software.
- Ability to keep projects highly organized to ensure on-time delivery.
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines for both planned and unplanned projects that are running concurrently.
- Good listener, able to interpret and extract action items from creative meetings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Takes a proactive approach to developing the brand of Truth to Table.
- Positive, agile attitude, as projects often pivot as they develop.
- Flexibility: While it is accurate to expect all work to revolve around graphic design, photography, and other creative disciplines, exact workload will be determined by the events, conferences, projects, etc. that we are managing at any given time.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR SUMMER INTERN
Description: Will work directly with the Director of Media and Communications (DMC) to monitor, maintain, and enhance social media for Truth to Table. You will also help to develop and execute a content creation strategy and schedule.
*This is an unpaid internship, and we’re looking for about 20hrs/week.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing the social media editorial calendar for all Truth to Table social channels. This includes, but is not limited to: asset management, collaborating with other team members for content creation, crafting captions and related written material, uploading and scheduling content, brainstorming, and pitching ideas for future content.
- Monitoring of and engagement with all Truth to Table social channels, which includes: responding to messages and comments promptly (written and/or “liking” comments), removing or reporting any inappropriate or negative content.
- Monthly reporting on all Truth to Table social channels, which includes: input of data into a Google spreadsheet that will look at post engagement, reach and overall social growth.
Qualifications:
- Must have a strong passion for utilizing social media to influence and communicate the message of Havilah Cunnington and Truth to Table
- 2+ years professional work experience; a background in Marketing, Advertising, and/or Public Relations not required, but preferred.
- Preferably a Bachelor degree; a focus in Public Relations, Marketing/Advertising, Communication Studies, or another related degree. (but not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a crucial part of the success of this position, specifically the ability to present ideas and information clearly, personify the voice of the brand, adjust tone and nuance with the audience in mind, and engage with other social networking users in a personal and meaningful way.
- Previous experience working with social media on behalf of clients is desired.
- Must have experience and inclination to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment, but have the ability to take initiative and work independently on tasks.
- A passing knowledge of simple HTML, image processing and editing software (Photoshop), and video processing/editing software is not required but preferred.
