Abraham was a man just like us, and he was hustling. He had a dream deposited in him as a seed, and he was doing everything he could to help it grow. But the vision required that he do the first thing in front of him without looking around wondering if it was the right thing. He was eating, praying, and hustling most days…just like many of us!
Even when we have a definite plan for our next step, and we have everything lined up, the dream can still be in jeopardy. Often it’s the things we miss that can be the most damaging. Week three is all about keeping the dream alive. We will expose the dream killers and the things that cause premature birth.

Too many of us look for God’s dream our whole lives, believing it’s like a carrot on a stick, just out of reach. Welcome to being human! But just because it’s normal doesn’t mean it’s right. Dreaming with God shouldn’t be a chore. It shouldn’t separate the ordinary man from the man who fought battles, clung to promises and tasted sweet victory. It should be the ‘right of passage’ for all of us.

This week we are going to journey into the land of promise. We’ll explore what it looks like to live with a dream fulfilled. What does it look like to nurture a vision? What does it take to keep the dream alive? Sometimes we are so consumed with having a baby we forget we are going to have to raise the child. Our promises and dreams are no different.
