Passing my stewardship off to other people in hopes that God will clean it up for me isn't spiritual. While growing up, a toxic way of thinking seemed to seep into the minds of Christian parents that sounded like, “If I serve God, God will take care of my family" or “If I give my life to the ministry, God will raise my kids for me.” Sounds spiritual, right? After all, doesn't God give us grace as a family? Yes, but God created me to be powerful in every sphere of my life.
